To be recognized as a PlayCore National Demonstration Site which can be recreated, these spaces work to enhance lives in the following ways: 1) Are universally designed to address both physical and social inclusion, so that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy meaningful play.
2) Help children reconnect with nature through play equipment designed with the surrounding living environment in mind.
3) Increase fitness through physical activity, with active play that incorporates 6 elements: spinning, sliding, swinging, climbing, brachiating, and balancing.
4) Create outdoor fitness spaces where adults in the community can exercise and enjoy healthier lifestyles.
